How to Hang a Chuppah on Your Wall

Hanging your Chuppah

Your Advah chuppah is specially designed to easily hang in your home, serving as a beautiful reminder of the love and community that surrounded you on your wedding day.  As with all art, hang it out of direct sunlight to avoid fading.  You can gather everything you’ll need at your local hardware store.

Materials

  • A wooden board, 71” long, 1 5/16” wide, and 1/4” thick
  • Two eyelets
  • Two nails, or two screws with two wall anchors
  • Hammer, drill and screwdriver
Step One
Screw the eyelet into each end of the wooden board.  You should be able to do this with your hands, but use pliers if necessary.

    Step Two

Put the hanger into the sleeve.  You will see three layers the fabric: the back of the chuppah, and then the back and front of the sleeve.  Make sure you put the hanger in between the outermost two pieces of fabric.  The eyelets should stick out past the sleeve, but not past the edge of the chuppah.

    Step Three

Hold the chuppah up to where you want it on the wall.  Use a pencil to make marks inside the eyelets where you will put your nails or screws.

Then simply hammer the nails into the wall in the correct spot,  or drill into the correct spot and install the wall anchors and screws.  Hang the eyelets on the nails or screws, and enjoy!
